Admission
to the Asian Seminary of Christian Ministries is based on evidence
that the applicant possesses the personal, ethical, spiritual
and academic traits necessary for a Christian worker. The evidence
is obtained from the applicant’s high school and college
records, from evaluations submitted by selected people close
to the applicant, and from a personal interview by the Admissions
Committee.
GENERAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Be a born again believer and have walked in the Christian
faith for at least one year.

Have a strong desire to serve God.

Have a character above reproach in the home, church and
community.

Be physically fit as attested by a medical certificate from
a physician.

Education:
a.) Bachelor Program/Certificate Program
Must be a high school graduate
b.) Graduate Program
Must be a Bachelor degree holder or its equivalent from
a recognized institution and have a minimum G.P.A. of 2.0

Applicants for admission must be at least 18 years of age.
Any applicant who does not meet the age requirement, if
admitted, will be subject to the following conditions:
a.) Parental written consent
b.) Pastor’s personal evaluation
c.) Admission Committee’s evaluation
d.) One semester probationary period

Before any application for admission to ASCM will be processed,
all applicants, local and international, are required to
take the English Proficiency Exam and the MAT/OLSAT. The
applicant’s scores from these tests/exams will determine
whether or not they will continue with the enrollment process.
a.
English Proficiency Exam.

Applicants, who score above 500, are eligible for interview.

Applicants, who score between 500-450, are required to take
nine (9) units of Special English. Those who score in this
range and are under any form of financial assistance will
be required to pay the tuition at their own expense).

Applicants, who score below the 420-level, will not be allowed
to enroll. In the case of international applicants, they
must be aware that deficiency in the English Proficiency
Test may result in their being sent home.

Probationary Status. Applicants, whose English Proficiency
Exam result are deficient will be admitted on probationary
status and will only be permitted to enroll in a limited
number of units in addition to the Special English requirements.
- Undergraduate (BTH and BCE) Applicants: 6 units (or 2
subjects)
- Graduate (MACL, MCL and MDIV) Applicants: 3 units (or
1 subject)
b.
MAT/OLSAT (For Aptitude and Achievement
Assessments).
- The
result of this test will also determine whether or not the
applicants, will continue with the enrolment process.
c. Testing
dates and fee information are available at the Registrar’s
Office.
